Only the Best for Jordan's Finest Frankenstein Sneaker
Two great Jordans, one effortless Frankenstein sneaker. As if the flawless fusion of the Jordan 2 and 3 models wasn't good enough, the Jordan 2/3 mashup is determined to outdo its own colorways.
Translation: the drops get better each time.
The latest Jordan 2/3 sneaker gets another classic outfit, the iconic "UNC" colorway.
The familiar arrangement of "University Blue" and "White" colors recalls Michael Jordan's time with the North Carolina Tar Heels (he naturally landed on the school's championship team during his three years there, too).
The North Carolina-themed scheme remains a certified classic in the Jordan collection, having graced several models, including the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 6, and Air Jordan 2 Low.
The Jordan 2 hybrid wants to be a Tarheel now, too.
The Jordan 2/3 sneaker effortlessly wears the latest "UNC" colorway as it's done with previous color options. The Jordan shoe embraces a luxurious white pebbled leather upper, as seen on the Jordan 2. At the same time, North Carolina-worthy blue shades get splashed elsewhere throughout the model boasting classic design elements from both shoes.
For instance, the Jordan 2/3 again receives a yellowed, vintage-style midsole, complete with the traditional Air "window" borrowed from the Jordan 3 sneaker.
As we speak, the Air Jordan 2/3 "UNC" sneaker is up for grabs at stores like Snipes and Hibbett Sports, joined by its usual $160 price tag.
The Jordan 2/3 fanbase has been fed all year with ultra-solid colorways. Now with the holiday season here, I wonder if the Jordan 2/3 will follow in its predecessor's footsteps with a Christmas colorway.
If it does, another clean yet holly-jolly drop is expected.
