Usually, the birthday person gets the gifts on their special day. In the case of Jordan Brand's 40th birthday, fans are the ones on the receiving end. And the latest gift from the brand is the return of the epic Air Jordan 4 "Black Cat" sneakers.

That's the OG "Black Cat" 4s, not those RMs, which, now that I think about it, felt like an appetizer to the main course.

As they return to the menu, the "Black Cat" Jordan 4s will once again deliver the classic all-black design inspired by Michael Jordan's stealthy alter ego. Fans can also count on the sneaker to include the traditional Jordan 4 fixings, like the Air-equipped soles, midfoot caging, and "wings."

Here's the best part: the upcoming revival will feature Nike Air branding on the heel, unlike previous releases, which featured the Jumpman logo. Well, minus Olivia Kim's no-notes Air Jordan 4 collaboration, which came with hair and Nike Air.

The Jordan 4s drops again nearly 20 years after its debut in 2006 (after the "Black Cat" 3's revival, too). Sure, the "Black Cat" 4s just returned in 2020, but it's only right that they make another grande entrance for the Jordan Brand's anniversary as easily one of the most iconic Jordan sneakers ever.

Right now, the Air Jordan 4 "Black Cat" sneakers are expected to release in November. According to some whispers, the Black Cats will drop on Black Friday. Makes sense.

2025 just might be the most historic year for the Jordan Brand since its inception in 1985. The brand's 40th birthday continues to roll out Jordan's biggest heaters. Even its very first "banned" sneaker is making a return soon.
