The Iconic "Bred" Jordan 4s? They're Chunk-ful "Skate Shoes" Now
Nike's building a mighty collection for the Air Jordan 4 RM, the skate-flavored remake of the classic Jordan 4. Several Jordan 4 RMs are already out, and plenty more are waiting to be unleashed. Nike's adding another classic take on the model: the "Bred" Jordan 4 RM.
The Jordan 4 RM "Bred" is exactly what it sounds like: the chunky, skate-worthy shoe dressed in the famous black and red color scheme seen on the iconic Jordan 4 (plus other great Jordan sneakers).
The "Bred" Jordan 4 — hold the RM for now — is hands-down one of the most legendary Jordan sneakers ever and perhaps the greatest Jordan 4 of all-time. After appearing at the 1989 NBA All-Star game on Michael Jordan's feet, the GOAT later laced up in the same colorway the same year and made "the shot," a famous buzzer-beater against the Cavs in Game 5.
After the sneaker's 1989 debut, the "Bred" 4s become immortal in the sneaker game. The shoe would see a few retro releases, a mysterious Off-White collaboration, and even a full-leather reimagining. Now, it's back as a skate-ful Jordan 4 sneaker, a.k.a. the Jordan 4 RM.
The "Bred" Jordan 4 RM sneaker is expected to drop sometime during the Holiday 2024 season, which is basically — checks calendar — any day now.
The Jordan 4 RM continues to have a controversial debut, with some OG Jordan fans refusing to accept the Jordan 4's new look. However, I've noticed that some Jordan 4 lovers are gradually warming up to the skate-ready Jordan 4 RM.
Nike's giving it classic AJ4 colorways like the "Bred" and famed "Black Cat," and it's slowly turning the most faithful AJ4 devotees into RM fans.
