Believe It or Not, Nike’s Skate-ish Jordan 4 Chunkster Gets Better
The Air Jordan 4 RM sneaker, Nike's beefed-up, skate-ish take on the classic Jordan 4, had a big 2024 premiere. In 2025, the sportswear label shows no signs of slowing down the Jordan 4 RM deliveries. Fresh colorways of the chunkster Jordan 4 await, giving way to a packed new lineup.
Amongst the offerings, the Jordan 4 RM sneaker is expected to get a "Sail/Fire Red" treatment this year. Early mockups of the shoe suggest a clean palette of grey and cream shades splashed with bright red hints elsewhere.
For OG Jordan 4 lovers like myself, it may be hard warming up to this surprisingly chunky take on the beloved icon. However, the color schemes for the modernized shoe continue to be quite solid.
In its buzzy debut year, Nike really pushed the Jordan 4 RM, offering the updated sneaker in plentiful nice colorways, like the stealthy "Black Cat" and the so-called "Bruce Lee" flavor.
Nike even dropped a "Bred" Jordan 4 RM shoe, blessing the new sneaker with a legendary colorway. But honestly, the real Bred Jordan 4 RM may be just around the corner.
Also, for this year's drops, the Jordan 4 RM sneaker is anticipated to drop in a "Black/Red" colorway, which looks more "Bred" than the previous pairs. The color arrangement follows in just about the exact footsteps as the OG "Bred" 4's design.
According to sneaker leakers, Air lovers can also count on the Jordan 4 RM to release in a “White/Black/Neutral Grey”. There's also those "Pine Green" Jordan 4 RM set to launch this year, echoing the highly-desired Nike SB collaboration from 2022.
When you think about it, a "Pine Green" Jordan 4 RM is even funnier, considering the shoe looks ready for shredding.
Aside from the fresh paint jobs, expect the same Jordan 4 RM build as before: skate-flavored chunkiness, textural uppers, and revamped Jordan 4 signatures. Plus, a sprinkle of undertones from the Jordan 4's cousin, the Nike Air Flight 89.
Again, we only have speculative mockups to go by for the upcoming Jordan 4 RM designs (for right now). But so far, so good.
