Ever since JW Anderson’s frog-centric Fall/Winter 2023 show during Milan Fashion Week earlier this year, my yearn to buy a pair of the designer’s wild Wellipets slip-ons has been getting stronger by the day.

While, at the time of writing, I’m still yet to cave, it does feel more like a when situation, as opposed to an if.

Still, as if my amphibidar wasn’t hard enough, today (or toad-ay, should I say) marks the release of JW Anderson’s other froggy-focused accessory from the FW23 show: the Frog Clutch.

Available online now and retailing for $990 USD, the little froggy number is everything you’d expect from a classic frog clutch: really green, quite compact, but surprisingly spacious.

Open up the frog's generously-wide mouth and slip in your bits and bobs in a similar way to last season's the Pigeon Clutch where the compartment was hidden beneath the bird's right wing.

The frog clutch's design is finished with an embossed JW Anderson logo on its low-hanging belly, which feels almost redundant because, well, who else is going to release a plastic frog as a clutch bag other than Jonathan Anderson?

That being said, I’m now fully-invested in frogcore, like I was pigeoncore before that. And to be frank, if I had a spare $1,000 USD lying around, I'd do worse than getting on the bandwagon with one of these handy little critters.

Honestly, I'm still annoyed JW Anderson didn't release any Open Toad Sandals for frogcore, but we move.
