It's the weekend, baby!

We're a week into October which means it is officially spooky season, and its also the time for some of the best seasonal releases.

Ronnie Fieg teamed up with Clarks, Patta's anticipated Nike Air Max 1 finally dropped, LUAR's Ana bag could be the new Telfar tote, Samuel Ross published his first book, and EYTYS revealed a new, bold sneaker silhouette.

Elsewhere, Paris Fashion Week came to a close (the Miu Miu x New Balance sneakers are still on our minds) and we can all finally breathe again. SS22 brought some of the most exciting footwear and accessories including another COMME des GARÇONS x Salomon shoe, a Batman x Lanvin collaboration, and an obscene amount of Y2K references.

Our Highsnobiety x Dickies collaboration dropped, and it is already becoming a Highsnob office favorite. The HS shop also launched Dr. Martens, as well as fall-friendly pieces from our Swedish friends, Acne Studios and Our Legacy.

It has been a busy week, and we're all looking forward to the weekend. If you haven't caught up on this week's reading, we've got you covered.

Holy Batman! What’s With All the Cartoon Sneakers?!

"Brands collaborating with cartoon and comic franchises is nothing new. BAPE’s early ’00s Marvel pack includes some of the most sought-after BAPE-STAs, while Vans alone has collaborated with the likes of Toy Story, SpongeBob SquarePants, Marvel (multiple times), and Disney, to name but a few."

Balenciaga’s Wild Footwear Headlined a Big SS22 Fashion Month for Sneakers

"To make it easier and to sort through all the noise, we’re on hand to round up the best, most WTF, and most noteworthy sneakers showcased."

Y2k Fashion Is Officially Luxurified

"The revival of Y2k fashion has long been brewing, thanks to Gen Z-driven platforms like Depop and TikTok, where users peddle velour tracksuits and videos hash-tagged #Y2KFashion boast a collective 210 million views."

Kanye’s Mysterious Donda Academy Is Already Securing Top Talent

"For those who have followed Kanye West's career over the years, it comes as no surprise that the rapper, entrepreneur, producer, fashion designer, and so on, would be venturing into sports — more specifically, basketball."

Someone Gatecrashed the Louis Vuitton Show, Who *Really* Cares?

"Both acts have got the internet talking (and raising awareness is no bad thing), but they either miss or feel hollow to the actual people who they're supposed to convince. The people who can affect real change. Protest, eh? It truly is a complicated art."

Shin Murayama Turned Basketballs Into Givenchy Gimp Masks

"Unlike Smith, though, Murayama opted for the real deal: he formed actual basketballs into wearable headgear and handstitched them with leather "thread" to reinforce the ghoulish mouths, sealed with glistening Givenchy zippers."

We Teamed up With Dickies To Create Every Skater’s Dream Suit

"Teaming up with Highsnobiety, Dickies has made its very own suit. Dubbed the "work suit," the three piece collection includes pleated work pants (based on the iconic 874 pant), a button-down work shirt and a boxy-fit blazer."
