Double Tap to Zoom

'Tis the season of giving and Kanye West definitely got the memo, because the Christian Genius billionaire just dropped a surprise album – no, not DONDA – from his Sunday Service choir titled Emmanuel.

Dropping yesterday, on Christmas day, Emmanuel, which means “God is with us,” celebrates the miracle of the birth of Jesus Christ through five solemn hymns. The album is executive produced and composed by Kanye, although he does not feature on it. It also boasts an album cover designed by artist Nick Knight.

Emmanuel serves as a follow up to 2019's Jesus Is Born, Sunday Service's debut album which covered popular gospel songs and gave Christian spins on secular songs like Ginuwine's "So Anxious" and Soul II Soul's "Back to Life." However, as opposed to contemporary gospel Ye's choir is known for, this time around Emmanuel shows off a new sound inspired by ancient Christian traditions.

You can stream Emmanuel below.
