Kanye West first unveiled an early prototype of what he called the YEEZY 451 in April. Now, he has shared the closest look yet at the sneaker’s exaggerated, Alien facehugger-style sole unit via Twitter. Predictably, it has sneakerheads excited, albeit divided on whether or not the new shoe is going to be a sure-fire cop.

West revealed that the sole unit is being reworked by Steven Smith, the legendary sneaker designer behind kicks such as the Reebok InstaPump Fury and New Balance 1500. In the same tweet, Kanye also announced that the YEEZY 451 will be coming in 2019.

For those who are just catching up, mockups suggest the YEEZY 451 features a knitted upper paired with a sole unit that gives the kicks a look reminiscent of a spider web or like some sort of liquid is dripping off the shoe.

Of course, with such a radical design, Twitter was torn on whether it'll be a cop or drop. Scroll through some of the best reactions below.

The comparisons were predictably hilarious

And frighteningly accurate
