It is official – Kanye West has confirmed a collaboration with YEEZY, Gap, and Balenciaga.

After collaborating with Demna for over a year on various projects, including DONDA, it was only a matter of time before the two would team up to create something with their respective brands. But, we never expected it to become a three-way partnership with Gap.

“It is a vision come true to work with Gap and Demna, the creative director of Balenciaga, to make incredible product available to everyone at all times,” Ye told Vogue.

Referred to as "YEEZY x Gap Engineered by Balenciaga," the collection won't just be Balenciaga at Gap prices. Demna has made it clear that the project is a challenge, but that he's always been a fan of Gap's accessibility.

“There are very few people that I know, especially of Ye’s caliber, who really understand my work so well," Demna continued, "There’s no ego when we collaborate, just a mutual drive to evolve and do something great and new.”

Ye also took to Instagram to share a screenshot of the legal document confirming the partnership, which has been signed by all parties in December.

After having worked on plenty of collabs this year, Demna is no stranger to challenges. Fortnite, The Simpsons, Crocs, and more are some of last year's most exciting partnerships, and following high street collections by Jil Sander and JW Anderson for Uniqlo, H&M's many luxury collaborations, and so on, there's no doubt that it will be a success.

If the collab is as successful as Ye's previous Gap drops, we're about to see sky-high resell prices. His signature round jacket hit resell sites before it even shipped.

Thus far we've only seen a handful of releases from YEEZY x Gap, but as the 10-year deal continues, we're expecting to see plenty more throughout the year – including more hoodies and other apparel.
