Following the news from several months ago that KAWS and sacai have teamed up for an inaugural collection (to be released this month), we now get our best look yet at the three-way sneaker collab between KAWS, sacai, and Nike via leaked images. Whereas previously, there were only detailed leaked images of the blue and red colorways, a third, beige colorway has entered the fray.

All three colorways — the more colorful green, blue, and yellow pair, the muted burgundy and pink pair, and the latest beige and blue pair — feature the same double-everything approach that has made sacai x Nike so popular over the past few years.

We had already been given a look at the sneakers via official imagery when the KAWS x sacai capsule was announced, though the leaked images give us an even more detailed look. The KAWS x sacai capsule is part of sacai’s Fall/Winter 2021 collection.

The latest leak follows our in-depth look at the diminishing value of sneaker collaborations, due to the over-saturation and sometimes pointless projects that are being released.

Users on Instagram were quick to point that out in the comment section under the KAWS x sacai x Nike leak, writing that there are “too many collabs” or that the sneaker industry is “collabing itself to death.”

Indeed, in the past couple weeks alone, we've seen KAWS x Fortnite, KAWS x PORTER, KAWS x CdG Parfums, and KAWS x Reese's Puffs.

This isn’t the first three-way collaboration that has been rumored or released in recent months. The Travis Scott x fragment design x Nike Air Jordan 1 (both High and Low) was the most hyped drop so far this year, while both colorways of the CLOT x sacai x Nike LDWaffle have also been released.

Upon revealing the collaboration on Instagram, KAWS stated, "I’m happy to finally be able to share this collaborative project I worked on with @sacaiofficial I consider Chitose Abe a friend and I’m thankful she’s welcomed my work into her creative world."

"This project was a fun one and I hope you enjoy it," he went on to add, before announcing that the collection will be available from July 2021.

A range of matching apparel will be available alongside the KAWS x sacai x Nike Blazer Low. While details remain scarce, the clothing assortment is rumored to include a logo T-shirt and hoodie, among other styles.
