Kendrick Lamar, Ty Dolla $ign & More Pay Their Respects to Mac Miller
In the wake of Mac Miller's passing, more notable rappers have come forward to pay tribute to the artist. As per a recent episode of Complex's Open Late with Peter Rosenburg, Kendrick Lamar, Ty Dolla $ign, Machine Gun Kelly, Macklemore, and Lil Xan share their fond memories of the 26-year-old.
For the episode, Lamar hops on a self-made video, elaborating on good times he spent with Miller. "He was a funny funny funny individual," Lamar explains. "One of the cats outside of TDE that had the same type of twisted humor that we have." Adding, "No matter what he was going through, he didn't make you feel sorry for him. He was strong about it. Always kept a smile on his face cause he wanted you to smile too."
Elsewhere, Ty Dolla $ign refers to the young rhymer as his "brother" and speaks on a project the duo was working on before his death. "I'll still make sure [it] comes out. I'll keep his memory alive," he says. In the studio, producer Smoke DZA, Jeff and Eric Rosenthal from ItsTheReal podcast and Craig Jenkins also offer their condolences.
