Here's How You Can Watch Kobe Bryant's Memorial Service Today
Crowds of mourners are set to gather in Los Angeles today to pay their respects to Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, in a huge public memorial service. If you're unable to attend the event but want to watch, here's what you need to know.
The service is called "Celebration of Life" and it's set to begin at 10 AM (PT) or 1 PM (ET). The date, February 24, was selected to reflect Bryant's Laker's jersey number (24) and Gianna's youth basketball team number (2).
The event is being held in LA's Staples Center, which is also where Nipsey Hussle's memorial was held last April. The venue holds 20,000 people. A limited number of tickets have been sold from which the proceeds will be donated to the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation.
Should you be unable to attend, many LA-local TV stations are expected to broadcast the event live. NBA TV will also live-stream the service, as will CNN, and via the LA Laker's website.
