Kylie Jenner has been officially dethroned as the Queen of Instagram by an unlikely successor: an egg. With 2019 looking not to be outdone by 2018 in the surreal stakes, a picture of an egg now holds the title of most liked Instagram post of all time.

Since February 2018, the reality TV star and beauty industry mogul held top spot on the social media platform after announcing the birth of her child with partner Travis Scott. Scoring 18.2 million likes, Jenner's post set a new Instagram record — that is until this egg came along and racked up 25 million likes.

On its victory, the egg account wrote, “This is madness. What a time to be alive. Thank you so much for all of your support and messages, I’m gonna try and get back to as many of you as possible. But for now I need to sleep."

Jenner responded to the news with an Instagram video of her attempting to fry an egg on hot asphalt as some kind of yolky retribution. Watch below.

In other news, Travis Scott forced the NFL to make a charity donation before agreeing to perform at the Super Bowl.
