Lakers to Honor Kobe Bryant by Giving Shirts to Fans at Tonight's Game
The Los Angeles Lakers return to action tonight after Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers was postponed due to the death of Laker great, Kobe Bryant. Fans in attendance at the Staples Center will be given T-shirts in honor of the NBA icon.
Sandy Hooper of USA Today reveals that Kobe Bryant shirts with his numbers 8 and 24 have been placed on the seats at the Staples Center for everyone who attends tonight's game. The shirts are split with one number for each side of the arena.
The LA Lakers tip off against the Portland Trail Blazers at 10 p.m. EST. The game is set to air on ESPN.
As tributes to Kobe continue to occur around the league, the NBA has implemented a new All-Star Game format to honor the five-time champion. The changes will take effect for this year's NBA All-Star Game, which takes place in Chicago on February 16.
