Following our visit to the Stone Island archives in Ravarino, Italy, we take a trip to Romans-sur-Isere, France to learn more about le coq sportif's Made in France program. At the world famous Tanneries Roux - where leather for legendary fashion houses like Louis Vuitton are made - we focus our camera on the French sports brand's revival of their iconic Arthur Ashe model.

Handmade by skilled artisans, le coq sportif introduces two new iterations of the silhouette - one in collaboration with Parisian concept shop colette and another set to be available at select premium boutiques worldwide. The former makes use of colette's trademark blue and white color motif throughout a textured woven upper while the latter comes in crisp white. Both feature full-grain leather throughout with the colette exclusive limited to 55 pairs and the Full White limited to 136 pairs.

For those unaware, the Arthur Ashe first debuted in 1964 and was designed to meet the tennis star's needs on both hard and clay surfaces. The sole is developed with the rigors of tennis in mind, while the Aerotop tongue allows for increased breathability. le coq sportif’s Arthur Ashe gradually evolved up until the early '80s, when the shoe reached its most elegant form.

Now, the silhouette makes the classiest of comebacks as it arrives in premium shape to some of the world's most prestigious retailers. Look for the le coq sportif x colette Arthur Ashe and the Full White to release at colette on January 12. The Full White will then see a wider release at the following destinations on January 19: Hanon, Foot Patrol, SnS, Slam Jam, Sneaker 76, Antonioli, Back Door, Titolo, Limited Editions, Cabinet Noir, Up There and, of course, colette.
