LEGO has partnered with NASA to celebrate the 50th anniversary of mankind's first steps on the moon with the LEGO Creator Expert 10266 NASA Apollo 11 Lunar Lander building set.

Consisting of 1,087 pieces, the model includes a detailed replica of Apollo 11's Eagle lunar module in both its descent and ascent stages, as well as a depiction of the lunar surface complete with crater, footprints, and US flag.

There are gold landing pads and panels for the descent stage, as well as an opening camera, laser hatches, and a ladder. The ascent stage boasts a detailed interior that can house two astronaut Minifigures. The model is decorated with an Apollo 11 lunar lander nameplate.

Standing at more than 7 inches high, 8 inches wide, and 7 inches deep, the LEGO Creator Expert 10266 NASA Apollo 11 Lunar Lander retails for $100 and launches on June 1.
