Cleaning your sneakers yourself is so two thousand and late, at least according to LG Electronics. The Korean electronics and technology pioneer has launched a whole range of new multipurpose tech products, but none is more impressive than the LG Styler™ ShoeCase and ShoeCare. Showcased at the brand’s Creator’s Room space at the CES tech convention held earlier this month in Las Vegas, the Styler ShoeCase has a few tricks up its sleeve (or shelf, in this case).

In LG's expansive booth at CES, New York-based designer Jeff Staple was given the freedom to curate and design his own zone. Dubbed the “Creator’s Room”, the booth was a curated ‘living space’ fitted with stylish objects, artwork, and LG’s latest Smart lifestyle products.

Like something out of Back to the Future, the brand’s new Styler ShoeCase takes the sneaker display to new technological heights. It’s modular, too, which means each case fits on top of each other like building blocks, and it comes with a unique shoe care system, LG Styler™ ShoeCare, which uses LG’s TrueSteam™ technology and a Zeo-Dry filter to keep shoes looking cleaner and fresher than ever. The extra pizzazz, though, is far from a gimmick and doesn’t mean LG compromises on construction — in fact, the gloss exteriors are made entirely from recycled plastics.

Since self-cleaning shoe displays apparently aren’t innovative enough, LG is taking things one step further toward Total Tech Fantasy — all of its home "ThinQ UP" products can be controlled through the LG ThinQ™ app. It allows users to select from the different lighting colors and effects available for the shoe case or remotely control the shoe care, but that’s not all. Tired of your refrigerator’s one boring color? The ThinQ app lets you change it in an instant thanks to groundbreaking MoodUP™ LED door panels that offer more than 190,000 possible color combinations to explore. The ThinQ app even makes it possible to choose the image displayed on the ARTCOOL™ Gallery air conditioner’s integrated LCD screen, so you can basically turn your home into your own personal museum. Eat your heart out, Marty McFly.
