Wouldn't You Love to Live In Loro Piana?
For their mutual debut at 2025's Milan Design Week, Loro Piana and Dimoremilano produced a joint spatial installation, straight from the chambers of your vintage movie dreams.
Titled "La Prima Notte di Quiete," this multi-room exhibit channels 1970s and '80s cinema to immerse visitors in an escape from the outside world. Scattered throughout the Dimorestudio-architected interiors are furniture pieces by Dimoremilano, the latter of which worked with Loro Piana fabrics for the upholstery.
Admired for its exquisite in-house fabrics, the Italian brand is also known for its quietly luxurious apparel though it also specializes in home textiles and decor. By the looks and sheer expanse of this project, however, you'd never know beds, baths and beyond weren't Loro Piana's primary turf.
The collection of objects featuring Loro Piana's high-grade materials included a range of coffee and dining tables, chairs, cabinets, poufs, and a bed.
A soundscape provided by renowned Italian DJ Nicola Guiducci, antiques, fine art, and artisanal porcelain tie together this illusion of a livable space described as something between reality and fiction, so luxurious that it surely must feel like stepping through an interior designer's idealized moodboard.
Made to order, these Loro Piana x Dimoremilano items will technically be for sale but probably only at a price most of us would only ever fantasize of being able to splurge on homeware. Still, Loro Piana and Dimoremilano's staging here is so meticulous, you'll have trouble forgetting it's not something you dreamt up anyway.
