Loro Piana’s Signature Yarns Are Winter Weather Luxury
For its 2023/2024 winter collection, the Italian cashmere powerhouse Loro Piana guides us into holiday merrymaking with an autumnal palette, classic silhouettes — both large-format and tightly structured — and big textures befitting long outdoor fêtes. It’s Audrey Hepburn in 1963’s Charade opposite Cary Grant: fur caps, wide legs that cinch at the ankle, heavy overcoats, and pointed-toe ballet slips with quarter-inch heels. There’s also a ’90s-era, Diane Keaton twist: long dresses, dome hats, turtlenecks, and jacquard knitwear done on a spectrum of moss green, baby pink, taupe, leopard, and muted Glen plaid. It’s Sundance meets Swiss Alps; Seattle grunge meets pan-European opulence.
Each piece is made in one of the house yarns: cashmere Coarsehair®, shearling, CashFur (a silk and cashmere blend), and Baby Cashmere. They’re completed with embossed trims, crochet motifs, and subtle stitched elevations that give the fabrics an extra-dimensional effect.
So when you’re planning your sub-zero-degree soiree or a New Year’s Eve party in the endless night of our collective north, there’s no need to compromise on style.
