Makeway Designs Nike's Best-Looking P-6000 Sneaker Yet
Toronto-based sneaker store Makeway has just unveiled its first-ever Nike sneaker collaboration, transforming the Nike P-6000 into the life of the party.
Nike's P-6000 sneaker is an essential Swoosh dad shoe. It balances excellent colorways with a chunky early 2000s-inspired runner build. The sneaker has been steadily inching towards its Vomero moment as the next star dad shoe. Now, it's time has come to shine.
Makeway's Nike P-6000 sneaker, dubbed the "Party 6000," sees the Y2K-friendly construction refreshed with transparent overlays, orange and blue highlights, and breezy white leather. It's almost like the brand leaned even more into its aughts influences.
Makeway's Nike shoe finishes with some pretty neat touches, including a "First, No Lasts" message on the tongue strip (it's also reflective!).
Makeway's logo replaces the traditional Nike branding on the tongue. Finally, along with fun graphic packaging, Makeway's debut Nike sneaker comes with a blue first-place badge.
Founded by Shelby Weaver and Abby Albino, Makeway is not just a sneaker boutique but a dedicated space for women who obsess over sneakers and streetwear as much as they do.
It's no secret that the sneaker industry continues to be male-dominated. Makeway seeks to solve this problem as "the first and only sneaker boutique for women and is completely run and funded by women," per its website.
In addition to serving as a gathering spot for the sneakerhead community, Makeway naturally sells Nike products as well as other sportswear brands. Now, the label is set to debut its first Nike sneaker. Talk about a full circle moment.
Makeway's Nike P-6000 sneaker is scheduled to land on November 20 on the brand's website, which gives fans plenty of time to make room in their closets for Makeway's drop.
Well, that's if they can get their hands on these sought-after Nikes.
