Martine Rose’s fashion shows always have a deep community focus.

For example, when the designer took over a street in Chalk Farm, London, for one of her early shows, residents of the street were invited to mingle with the fashionable set in attendance. Or, when she held a show at a local community center, it helped give the community space a much-needed injection of publicity

Her Fall/Winter ‘24 collection was no different, modeled by a community-driven cast in front of an audience made up of the friends and families of the community who walked it (a film of the show was later presented in a formal screening at Paris Fashion Week).

Now, the same community is back to model in the collection’s lookbook lensed by Jamie Morgan, showcasing items fresh off the runway alongside unseen pieces from the collection.

Big, bold shoulders, football references, and draped constructions have all become signatures of Rose’s over the years and feature heavily in this collection; as do experiments with tailoring, including leather two-pieces, psychedelic prints, and fuzzy fabrics.

On foot, the collection presents Martine Rose’s second collaboration in her current role as Clarks' Guest Creative Director: a sling-back heel, a padded mule, and a padded Oxford shoe.

The FW24 collection is available now on the designer’s website, another strong showing for the winner of Best British Menswear Designer at the 2023 Fashion Awards.
