Maserati Just Took the SUV From Mom Car To Cool Car
If you, like me, love to play your favorite songs at the highest volume whilst in the car, Maserati's latest SUV might just be right up your street.
Dubbed the Grecale, the new car is designed to make "everyday life exceptional," and to be honest, I'm pretty sure every day is automatically a little better if you're driving a Maserati.
Its new SUV has been designed with timelessness in mind, and is optimized to be driven at any time, anywhere, and by anyone (who has a drivers license, that is). It is also designed to become the first 100% electric SUV in the company's vast history, and is available in three versions: the GT, Modena, and Trofeo.
"Each version is an account of different aspects of the same over-arching theme," Maserati explains.
I'm picturing the rich women driving this car wearing their Chanel sneakers, Dior book tote, and Lululemon workout gear – in the best way possible. Gone are the days SUV's were associated with soccer moms.
The Grecale GT has a four-cylinder 300-hp mild hybrid, and is intended for "world citizens and their dynamism, curiosity and fashion consciousness." The modena has "timeless elegance and unleashes the charm of nature lovers who make the most of their free time," and the Trofeo, which is a powerful 530-hp V6, for those with a little more adrenaline.
But now, back to the singing.
Whilst the car is all about comfort and design, the Maserati Grecale is also engineered with a 360-degree sound in mind, featuring a Sonus faber audio system with 3D sound. Pass the AUX, please.
The Grecale also features a new 12.3" screen, which is the largest yet for Maserati, as well as a smaller 8.8" display with other controls and clock. There are no buttons, so the car's interior is crisp and minimal.
"Like an outfit, jewelry or a work of art you select for your home, Grecale serves as a means to identify yourself as someone who always stands out from the crowd. Grecale is an exceptional experience, every day," Maserati explains.
So far, the reactions have been mixed, with plenty of people comparing the car's design to the Ford Puma, as well as plenty of people excited about the latest addition to Maserati's lineup.
If you're keen on learning more, or perhaps even investing in a new Maserati, all things Grecale are currently available on the label's website.
