NIGO, Moncler, & Mercedes-Benz's Collab Is Already Classic
Following up on their 2023 team-up, Mercedes-Benz and Moncler are back again with a new puffed-up collab. This time, they've brought NIGO along for the ride.
Moncler and Mercedes-Benz have enlisted musician and KENZO creative director NIGO to design a G-Class art piece and a clothing collection.
The one-of-a-kind Project G-Class Past II Future leads the lineup. Based on the G-Class cabriolet from the '90s, it is complete with Moncler and NIGO touches.
The Mercedes-Benz x Moncler G-Class borrows inspiration from retro aesthetics but is presented through a modern-day lens, resulting in a ride that feels both classic and fresh simultaneously.
NIGO's Moncler x Mercedes-Benz car is naturally stylish, boasting olive green and gray paint as well as black and gold accents. A puffy black outer shell lines the SUV, adding a Moncler touch (like a Moncler puffer just for the car).
Rounding out the collaboration is NIGO's fashion capsule collection, which features an array of jackets and coats and will hit stores in April 2025.
Again, NIGO's Moncler x Mercedes-Benz G-Class is a one-off creation. However, Moncler will release limited-edition, purchasable G-Class vehicles inspired by the art piece. It'll be limited to just 20 units.
Moncler and Mercedes-Benz partnered previously with another G-Class redesign. Moncler gave the SUV its signature puffy look in February 2023 during its last Genius spectacle.
Moncler x Mercedes-Benz by NIGO debuted during Moncler's "The City of Genius" show in Shanghai on October 19. The event also included collaborations with fashion stars like A$AP Rocky, Willow Smith, and Rick Owens.
