For decades, Merrell has been known as a go-to provider of outdoor footwear and apparel. More recently, however, the brand has keyed in on a more fashionable aesthetic, which has never been more evident than with its SS21 1TRL collection.

As Merrell likes to put it, the new SS21 assortment shows "there's more to the trail than just the hike." The seasonal collection is meant to challenge the traditional perceptions of trail footwear, without compromising the quality of design and performance the brand has become synonymous with.

In total, the SS21 1TRL capsule spans 17 designs, ranging from new iterations of Merrell classics like the MQM Ace Craze 1TRL and MQM Ace LTR 1TRL, to reimagined icons such as the Jungle Slide Vent 1TRL and Moab Speed GTX 1TRL, as well as the ever-popular Hydro Moc, which is now offered in numerous colorways. Per usual with the brand, performance is at the forefront, as we see the utilization of GORE-TEX waterproofing, FloatPro, and Vibram technology.

The new Merrell collection is brought to life through an engaging campaign shot by Liam MacRae in the California backcountry, where a cast of characters ventures out into nature for a much needed break from the daily grind. You can watch the SS21 1TRL film below and then shop select styles from the collection in Europe and the UK here. Availability in North America begins in April.
