Michael B. Jordan has shared a moving tribute to his friend, mentor, and Black Panther co-star, Chadwick Boseman. "You are my big brother," he wrote "but I never fully got a chance to tell you, or to truly give you your flowers while you were here."

Taking to Instagram last night, Jordan explained that he was still processing Boseman's death. Since Boseman passed away on Friday, following a four year battle with cancer, Jordan revealed that he been "reflecting on every moment, every conversation, every laugh, every disagreement, every hug" with his former co-star.

He also shared that, in one of their last conversations, Boseman has told him that they were "forever linked." For Jordan, the truth of those words are being felt, as he reflects on the impact Boseman has had on him throughout his life.

"Starting with All My Children when I was 16 years old you paved the way for me. You showed me how to be better, honor purpose, and create legacy" he recalled. "And whether you’ve known it or not…I’ve been watching, learning and constantly motivated by your greatness."  Scroll through the gallery below.

Jordan also reflected on the many gifts Boseman left the world with his talent and generosity as well as the care he had for his community, culture, and humanity.
