Michael Jordan-Signed Air Jordan 1s Are Up for $1 Million on eBay
Sports memorabilia is very much in high demand as of late. Just days after a rare Michael Jordan rookie card sold for a record-breaking $738,000, we've since come across a pair of autographed Air Jordan 1s listed for an eye-opening $1 million.
The original Air Jordan 1s are unworn, appearing in the iconic "Chicago" colorway. According to eBay seller pinstripe_auctions, the sneakers — autographed by Michael Jordan during his rookie year — are one of 15 to 20 pairs of deadstock (never worn) 1s with the sku of "850204TYPS" in existence. Furthermore, the seller reports that the Jordans are one of only two publicly verified deadstock pairs with a Michael Jordan rookie signature.
The listing goes on to add that the mismatched size 13 and 13.5 1s were made in 1985 specifically for MJ, as size 13.5 Air Joran 1s are not available at retail.
If you're having a hard time processing the $1 million asking price — for the sake of comparison — a similar pair of game-worn Air Jordan 1s sold at auction for $615,000 last year.
"PLEASE DO NOT MISS THIS ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY TO OWN ONE OF THE FINEST PAIRS OF AIR JORDAN 1 PLAYER SAMPLES THAT WERE OWNED BY MICHAEL JORDAN," the current eBay listing reads.
