Cars are often looked at as a symbol of status. Subsequently, some treat their vehicle like its their first born, while others merely consider it a means to getting from point A to point B.

Many automobile enthusiasts will tell you, however, that it's not always about the dollar amount you spend to get the car off the lot, instead what you do with the vehicle once it's in your garage.

If cars are your thing, chances are you like to show off what's in your driveway. What's the point if no one else sees it, right? This is where Instagram comes in handy, the place where everyone goes to flex their most prized possessions.

Here, we're delving into the most Instagrammmed cars, courtesy of data compiled by comparison experts, Quidco. These rides get posted (and hashtagged) more than all the rest, so let us know, did your car make the cut?

1. Audi RS6

The Audi RS6 is characterized by its initials, which translate to "racing sport." The 2021 version of the RS6 Avant, for example, rivals that of a supercar with its 591-horsepower twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter mild-hybrid V8. If we told you beforehand that an Audi came in at the number one spot, you'd probably assume it to be the eye-catching R8. Nonetheless, there's a lot to love about the spacious wagon, the least of which being it doesn't sacrifice speed or comfort.

2. Land Rover Range Rover

It should come as no surprise that the beloved Range Rover has landed close to the top of the list. This iconic vehicle has an unwavering cult following. No matter the generation, the luxury automobile is as stylish as any SUV of its day and beyond.

3. Honda Civic

Who says you have to break the bank to land an Instagram-worthy ride? On top of being highly affordable, the Honda Civic is extremely customizable, also for a low dollar amount. Oh, and let's not forget, you can absolutely drive the thing into the ground. The average lifespan of a Civic is between 15 to 20 years.

4. Ford Mustang

This one's dedicated to American muscle. The Ford Mustang has been going strong since its debut in 1964, and it hasn't taken a break in production since, solidifying itself as the longest-produced Ford vehicle. Performance packages like the Mach 1, Boss 302, and Boss 429 make it a must-have for speed junkies, as the Mustang has a strong connection to the racing circuit.

5. Audi A8

At first glance, the A8 comes across as a family car. And while this may be somewhat true, the spacious four-door rides like a sports car, all while being billed as Audi's largest and most luxurious sedan. Not to mention, it also comes equipped with a plethora of upgraded technology features, making it a treat for road trips.

6. Nissan GT-R

The Nissan GT-R is one of those cars you sometimes see in packs riding down the highway. The distinctive high-performance vehicle has spawned countless car clubs, largely due to its limited production and racing heritage. Simply put, the GT-R embodies the fast and the furious, pun intended.

7. Volkswagen Golf

The Volkswagen Golf is a fixture overseas, albeit the demand in the United States has risen in recent years. Since its release in 1974, the compact ride has gained popularity due to its unmatched performance and handling. Lately, it's been considered the best all-wheel-drive hatchback, all while being noticeably affordable. Customers love to trick out the Golf, as is evident in the slew of posts on Instagram.

8. Audi R8

It's not hard to see the appeal of the R8, just look at it. Audi's first supercar, the two-seater is based on the Lamborghini Gallardo, featuring a V10 engine pulled from a Lamborghini. If speed is your thing, the R8 travels from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds, before topping out at 196 miles per hour. It's really somewhat surprising the R8 doesn't receive even more love on the 'gram.

9. Fiat 500

The Fiat 500 is an Italian icon, one which we can't think of a better way to describe than "cute," essentially because of the compact build. Made for maneuvering through tight roads, many insist the 500 is a joy to drive. While the retro models in particular get a lot of the love, the newer versions are being heralded for the ability to be easily customized.

10. Ford Focus

Why are there so many Ford Focus pics on Instagram? Well, Ford has decided to discontinue the vehicle, and when something is gone — or on its way out — it has a tendency to surge in demand and popularity. It also doesn't hurt that the compact car is incredibly affordable, allowing you to pour your funds into aftermarket alterations.
