Editor’s Notes: adidas partners with Naked to launch an all-new sneaker designed by the Copenhagen-based store. At the core, the Magmur Runner reverts back to the '90s golden age of adidas apparel and footwear.

“We wanted to create a sneaker unlike any other, so we traversed an extensive range of basketball and running silhouettes to derive the best design elements we could find,” says Naked’s creative director, Stine Pedersen. “This was about elevating the current chunky sneaker aesthetic – an evolution of the dad shoe that’s distinguishable as a Naked creation.”

The standout design element of the Magmur Runner is a chunky Adiprene insert, which offers enhanced cushioning around the midsole. The shoe also welcomes leather overlays and mesh underlays, in addition to webbed Three Stripes.

The Magmur Runner initially arrives in two colorways: a white and cream version, as well as a pair with blue and green accents. The white and cream colorway will be available at adidas Consortium accounts worldwide, while the other will be a Naked exclusive.

adidas' all-new Magmur Runner debuts today at Naked and at other retailers on March 16 for $149.95.
