What We’re Saying: All eyes have been on the New Balance 550 ever since Teddy Santis and Aimé Leon Dore resurrected the silhouette back in October of last year. In the weeks and months to follow, Santis has become the Creative Director of New Balance MADE in USA, and New Balance has gone on to collab with other brands on the 550, while simultaneously delivering more and more general release colorways. Yet as stock of the sneaker continues to present itself, the in-demand shoe has consistently sold out, and done so in a hurry. Never fear, though, NB has more colorways in the pipeline, including two enticing iterations slated to arrive later this month.

Releasing on June 24, we see the 550 once again offered in two-tone looks, pairing a predominantly white base with an accent color. Here, green and purple serve to complement the white uppers, which find a conglomerate of materials coming together throughout, such as smooth and perforated leather, suede, and mesh. The accent colors inject life into the low-top sneaker via the branding on the side, tongue, and heel, along with additional hits at the collar and outsole. Sandwiched in between the green/purple outsole and the white upper is an off-white midsole that gives the 550 somewhat of a vintage look and feel.

If you're into either of the forthcoming June releases of the 550, you'll want to act fast when both the white and green and white and purple colorways arrive on June 24 through New Balance and (presumably) authorized retailers.
