As Berlin geared up for the city's most anticipated race, Highsnobiety and New Balance joined forces to elevate the running experience with a series of events celebrating individuality, inclusivity, and the future of running. Positioned as an innovative brand providing modern solutions for runners of all abilities, New Balance is pushing the boundaries of community engagement and digital storytelling—and this weekend marks the exciting launch of the NB Clubhouse 2.0.

The theme "Run Your Way" encapsulated the essence of the weekend: embracing individuality in the sport while fostering a collective spirit. Whether attendees were seasoned marathoners or beginners taking their first strides, "Run Your Way" is about moving forward together to a better tomorrow. New Balance and Highsnobiety curated a vibrant series of events that welcomed everyone, offering runners and supporters a space to gather, express themselves, and engage with the sport in new and exciting ways.

Kicking off the weekend, the Highsnobiety store transformed into the ultimate hub for running enthusiasts with a special event on Friday. The evening consisted of celebrations, music, and a panel talk discussing individuality, community, and inclusivity in the running world through creative expression. The panel was made up entirely of runners, and included Mikey Kratzer, Lewis Rees, and Luizza Grimm, and was hosted by Calum Andrews (himself a runner too, of course). The panelists dove deep into their experiences from across the running world to explore what the future held for runners of all backgrounds and abilities. Lewis Rees remarked, "Not everyone wants to run," but emphasized that the sport's appeal lies in the community's strong sense of empowerment and mutual support. This theme resonated with the other panelists, who agreed that overcoming challenges and achieving personal growth as a runner becomes more meaningful when experienced collectively.  Luizza Grimm added her perspective, noting that "there's a shared sense of joy" within running communities, where both individual and collective achievements are celebrated together. After the conversation, guests unwound with drinks, a performance by emerging music artist Serious Klein, and an energetic DJ set courtesy of Randy Agyemang—part of London-based run crew Run the Boroughs—set the tone for a weekend of creativity and connection.

New Balance, New Balance

Saturday’s "Run Your Way" Workshop, led by the renowned stencil artist Sérgio Ben Mário, offered a hands-on opportunity for runners to create personalized designs inspired by the spirit of the race and New Balance’s branding. Attendees had the chance to customize their marathon gear with stencils, blending creativity with their running journey. Sérgio’s unique airbrush technique, known for its precision and artistic flair, allowed runners to express their individuality while preparing for the big race.

After the runners crossed the finish line on race day, the Highsnobiety store hosted a post-race hangout designed to honor the efforts of participants and bring the running community together. This event was not just about recovery; it was about celebration. From a pace-keeping challenge to interactive games, the post-run event offered a chance for runners and supporters alike to relax, recharge, and celebrate the day’s accomplishments.

The post-race atmosphere was filled with energy as DJ Kikelomo kept the music flowing and attendees enjoyed gourmet Berlin currywurst (with vegan options, of course), protein-packed milkshakes, electrolyte mocktails and cocktails, and recovery-focused snacks. New Balance prizes were up for grabs through exclusive scratchcards, adding a fun, competitive edge to the day. Whether attendees were runners, supporters, or simply part of the larger community, this post-race celebration was the perfect end to one of the city’s most beloved yearly events.

As New Balance and Highsnobiety unveil the NB Clubhouse 2.0, they are creating more than just a space for runners—they are building a community hub that blends the present with the future. This weekend of events is not only a celebration of running but also a reflection of the brand’s forward-thinking approach to the sport. By fostering inclusivity, creativity, and innovation, the NB Clubhouse 2.0 was a dynamic space for runners of all abilities to connect, grow, and thrive.
