New Era
1 / 5

There are few brands that are as closely linked to a single sport as New Era is to Major League Baseball. For more than three-quarters of its century-long history in headwear, the legacy brand has been supplying goods to MLB's most triumphant teams and their supporters. But wanting to rep your city isn't limited to the stadium and the brand has long transcended the field to become a staple on the streets. While New Era continues to deliver headwear styles catered to the tastes of street style aficionados, this season, the brand is refocusing on its roots and celebrating its legacy with the Home Field collection and campaign.

The Home Field collection introduces a new silhouette in three different versions, one each to commemorate the Los Angeles Dodgers, the New York Yankees, and the Boston Red Sox. Based on the classic 9FORTY, the new design keeps the signature structured crown and adjustable curved visor but evolves it by introducing a breathable trucker-style mesh back. The Home Field cap is finished off with “NY”, “LA”, or “B” embroidered on the front and is available in shades of black, gray, and red.

With roots so deeply embedded in the MLB, New Era’s understanding of the game, its culture, and the passion felt by its fans is second to none, and to launch the new collection, New Era has kicked off the “We Reign As One” campaign celebrating this spirit. The clip tells the stories of three creatives – rising Queens' rapper Remy Banks, Boston-born mixed media artist Timmy Sneaks, and L.A.-based skater-turned-photographer Sierra Prescott – capturing their deep-rooted connection to the streets they call home. Although they hail from different cities, they are united through their passion for their home turf and teams – a sentiment that runs so deep it has influenced their work and shaped their identities making them who they are today.
