What We’re Saying: Five years ago Nice Kicks released a now-classic adidas NMD that jumpstarted the retailer's beloved tie-dye series. The time has come for the franchise to end, as Nice Kicks is retiring the tie-dye project and moving on in a new direction. One final Nice Kicks x adidas tie-dye drop is on the way, though, slated to arrive July 30 in the form of a Consortium Ultraboost.

As you can immediately see, the overall colorway mimics the aforementioned Nice Kicks NMD, which drew inspiration from tie-dye patterns found in San Francisco’s Haight Street neighborhood. The familiar red and black pattern is showcased across the knitted upper of the Ultraboost, while a matte black cage and heel clip serve to complement, in addition to a red torsion plate. On the tongues you will find the Nice Kicks logo on one and the adidas badge on the other, while both motifs then appear on the graphic-printed insoles. The sneaker is fitted with a gum outsole below and comes with sets of black and red laces.

A followup to the recent Nice Kicks x adidas Consortium Ultraboost 4D “Have A Nice Day,” the Ultraboost goes by the name of "No Vacancy," a nod to those unforgettable road trips where the journey is more important than the destination. As the world begins to reopen post COVID, the "No Vacancy" project is designed to get you out the door and find some time for yourself.

"We played with the phrase 'No Vacancy' for this Consortium release," Nice Kicks said in a press release. "No Vacancy means full – there is no more room. We want to take that idea of No Vacancy and apply it to our own personal thoughts. We hope this release inspires you to fill your head with positivity and offer No Vacancy to the negativity and toxic feelings so many of us have been filled with lately."

With this being the final tie-dye release from Nice Kicks and adidas, expect it to be highly sought-after and perhaps reach grail status similar to the OG NMD. The "No Vacancy" Ultraboost releases exclusively at Nice Kicks locations and online on July 30.
