Nike's Ultra-Classic Air Force 1 Gets the Crisp Makeover It's Long Deserved
Nike's Air Force 1 "Linen" sneaker is back (again) in 2025, but this time, the iconic Forces finally got the makeover they've long deserved.
The Nike Air Force 1 "Linen" undergoes a well "linen" transformation for 2025, now boasting super crisp canvas uppers. Finally!
Previous pairs featured supple leather uppers, which were admittedly very creamy and delicious on the legendary Nike Air Force 1. But it's about time the "Linen" Forces lived up to its name. Thank you, Nike.
The canvas versions, now called the Nike Air Force 1 "Linen Linen," preserves the beautiful colorblocking seen on the original 2001 Japan exclusives. Expect the mostly beige takeover followed up with pink hints on the Swoosh and outsole.
The Air Force 1 "Linen" returned in 2024, marking the shoe's first big global release in 23 years (Kith also exclusively released the "Linen" Forces at the opening of its Miami store in 2016). Nike brought back the "Linen" Air Forces through its Cult Classics program, which is exactly what it sounds like: the label reviving some serious sneaker icons.
On top of the Air Force 1s, Nike also gave another life to the Air Max 90 "Duck Camo" and the "Veneer" Dunks. A year later, the "Linen" Forces are back and look more immaculate than ever.
Nike's Air Force 1 "Linen Linen" sneakers are slated to drop overseas on March 20. However, based on Nike Korea's cryptic messaging, the crisp canvas Forces will land elsewhere during the spring season.
