Nike's Air Force 1 sneaker may be over 40 years old but it's only getting better. The classic AF1 is dropping in a vast array of delicious colorways these days with no end in sight.

Consider the all-black Nike Air Force 1 "Paris" a sign of things to come.

This slick 'n glossy Nike AF1 wears a shiny patent leather upper to great effect against its white contrast stitching, gently upsetting the single-shade sheen of the otherwise understated Nike sneaker.

Other than some red- and blue-colored insoles, Nike's AF1 "Paris" doesn't really call to mind the city of lights. There's even a rare "Paris" text callout on the sneaker's outsole to make the reference clearer, a very unusual detail for the conventionally straightforward AF1.

Instead, think of this Air Force 1 as reflective of Paris' famously chic approach to fashion, its clean lines reflected in the streamlined colorway.

You see this sort of mentality best represented in classic moments in French fashion, like Yves Saint Laurent's signature Le Smoking jacket.

As such, the new all-black Nike AF1 "Paris" is pretty far-removed from the many other French-flavored AF1 that've been released in years' past.

This is less of an overtly luxury shoe and more of a crisp reimagining of an all-time Nike classic, releasing soon on Nike's website for $150.

Instead, it has a closer throughline with several of the other tonal AF1 shoes that've released in recent weeks, including the various handsome beige and greenish makes that make the most of the AF1's signature, ever-mutable chunk.
