Editor’s Notes: After Nike unveiled its full lineup of FIBA World Cup sneakers earlier this month, the first of the two retros in the pack is set to be released this weekend. As with the rest of the sneakers in Nike’s celebratory pack, Air Jordan 12 shouts out host nation China with its color scheme.
The silhouette was first launched in 1996 and was the first of Michael Jordan’s signature sneakers to feature Zoom Air cushioning. The Air Jordan 12 was also the first Jordan Brand shoe to be released in Greater China when it originally came out, making this release all the more special.
