Editor’s Notes: The classic Air Jordan 6 “Infrared” with the OG “Nike Air” across its heel was confirmed to receive a retro release this year for the first time since 2000. It initially dropped as a KITH-exclusive on February 1, with a wider release following today.
This popular colorway was retroed in 2010 as part of the “Infrared Pack” and then again in 2014 as a standalone release. In addition, this variation of the silhouette is iconic, as Michael Jordan won his first championship donning the sneaker during the 1991 NBA Finals.
Jordan Brand purists will notice slight differences in the shape, heel logo, and the color of the Infrared detailing, however, this release manages to stay as true to the original as any recent retro re-release has.
