Nike's Insanely Fire "Volcano" Air Max Sneaker Finally Erupts
Is it hot in here or is it just Nike's new volcano-themed Air Max 90 sneakers? I will go with option number two, as Nike has indeed brought the heat with its latest Air Max shoe.
Following a smoking-hot reveal earlier this year, Nike's Air Max 90 "Volcano" sneaker has finally erupted. Translation: the cleverly made Nike shoe is officially here.
But first, let's revisit the design of the "Volcano" Air Max 90, which is — if I may — straight flames.
Expect the classic Air Max 90 sneaker, but make it extra hot like the fiery force of nature (volcanoes, of course!). First, the Air Max 90's signature layered upper gets topped with this nice black volcanic texture and a couple of splashes of blazing orange hues.
Nike's Air Max 90 also features this cool "cracked" Swoosh, almost like lava breaking free and rising to the surface (Nike reiterates this concept with the magma graphic insoles). Finally, the sneakers are complete with orange-tinted Air units, bringing along the model's famous cushioning system in a literal fire way.
The Nike Air Max 90 "Volcano" sneakers are slated to drop at Nike on February 22. It will start launching at retailers like Shiekh as early as February 23.
The "Volcano" Air Max 90 first hit the internet in January as one of the coolest — or in this case, hottest — Air Max 90 designs in a while, aside from a rugged Bottega-ish version and few bold camo classics to return recently.
And with the Air Max 90 celebrating 35 years of life this year, this impressive volcanic spin further proves the model's enduring hot streak as one of the best Air Maxes to date.
