After 20 Years, Nike's Spotted Air Maxes Heat Up Again
Jordan sneakers aren't the only ones having a busy year. Nike's Air Maxes also have a packed schedule, including rollouts for the Air Max 90's 35th anniversary and tons of reborn classics. During Nike's SNKRS Showcase, the brand offered sneak peeks at a few revivals, like the Air Max Craze and the Air Max Plus "Hyper Blue."
What the brand didn't include in its preview was the Air Max Plus 7, which is also expected to return to the streets this year.
Hey, Nike can't give away all of its sneaker surprises at once. Some things are best kept secret until the leakers say so, or however, the old saying goes.
But yes, indeed. According to sneaker leakers, the Nike Air Max Plus 7, also called the TN7, is anticipated to relaunch in 2025, roughly 20 years after its debut.
In the early 2000s, the Nike Air Max sneaker was quite the looker, boasting this intriguing spotted-like design, achieved through TPU "drops" layered over breathable mesh. Of course, the sneaker was complete with Nike's Tuned Air cushioning, as seen in other Air Maxes like the Air Max Plus Tiempo and even the newest Air Max Waffle sneaker.
The OG designs returns in full force, from the looks of it, Tuned Air and all. Nike also plans to revive a couple of the model's most classic colorways, like the "Varsity Maize," a.k.a. "Bumblebee" iteration and all-black. Nike is also expected to drop a "Panda"-like black and white version.
Older releases saw plenty of vibrant colorways for the already-bold sneaker, such as "Blueberry" blue and pink. Hopefully, these colors will also return when Nike officially brings back the Air Max Plus 7 during the fall season.
