Nike's slip-on game just got a little slippery (in a good way) as the brand brings back an underrated water shoe: the Aqua Turf.

The Nike Aqua Turf made a splash in the 1990s as part of Nike's ACG, or All Conditions Gear line. The Aqua Turf is kind of a mermaid in the ACG collection, a sea full of rugged outdoor footwear and clothing. Charge it to the shoe's unique charm.

It's funny because I remember growing up with no-name beach shoes, and Nike's Aqua Turfs remind me of them. Nike's slip-on follows a classic water shoe design with snug mesh and neoprene uppers ready for any water activity. At the same time, the distinct molding on the outsoles tells me that they are probably pretty sturdy as far as traction goes.

The Nike Aqua Turf looks exactly how it looked 20 years ago, resembling the OG model seen across dedicated Nike ACG pages and vintage eBay listings.

What's more, Nike has even revived some of the Aqua Turf's most classic and vibrant colorways, which are expected to drop (again) during the Spring 2025 season.

2024 was already a big year for Nike slip-ons, with the return of the infamous Cloposite and ACG Rufus models. 2025 looks to be even bigger.

In addition to the Aqua Turf, Nike is also gearing up to debut an all-new ReactX recovery clog, which is already LeBron James-approved.

Aqua Turf for the splashing? ReactX clog for post splashing? I can dig this rotation.
