Nike's Book 1 Sneaker Is Now Even More Delicious
With grape power comes grape sneakers. A new Nike Book 1 has entered the chat, and it goes by "Barely Grape." I've also seen some people call the latest Book sneaker "Lilac Bloom."
Nike showcases both colors on Booker's sneaker, per its product description. And either way, both nicknames fit the bill, given how Nike Book 1 looks like it just took a dip in a pastel purple pool.
Faint lavender hues swallow the upper, covering the familiar melange of impressive textures like smooth suede and net-y canvas.
A surprise shiny touch joins Book 1's usual materials in a bolder purple shade, seen around the color and Swoosh stamped on the sidewall.
Finally, Nike and Book branding appear throughout the shoe in their customary spots, closing out the sneaker's details with luscious lavender flair.
It's been a while since we got a Nike Book 1 that wasn't a player-exclusive. The last widely available drop-off was in May with the "Rattlesnake" pairs, a summer-essential white sneaker topped with a luxurious, scaly Swoosh.
Consider the drought now over.
After a few teases and official Nike pics, the highly anticipated Nike Book 1 "Barely Grape" is now available on Nike.
Devin Booker's first signature Nike shoe debuted at the top of the year after a lengthy wait. It was presented as a basketball shoe with lifestyle-like design codes, making it an easy addition to rotations for both basketball heads and everyday Nike fans.
The effortless sneaker has certainly lived up to its hype, as it has yet to disappoint with its releases.
After hairy versions inspired by Book's four-legged best friend, the Nike Book 1 returns in perhaps its tastiest colorway yet. Hello, Barely Grape Books.
