There is a third Nike x Corteiz Air Huarache sneaker on the way. And it is not like the rest.

Corteiz’s previous two takes on Nike’s old-school basketball sneakers have featured neutral-hued, rugged overlays above a green-colored camo base. But a third sneaker is arriving that doesn’t keep to this formula.

Rendered in all-black, the upcoming sneaker has a hairy finish. Like, literally, the majority of the upper is covered in what looks like black pony hair.

The shoe’s bristly overlays are joined by dark black and green camo panels along with a mesh velcro strap.

The release of this third colorway is, for now, unconfirmed, but it's expected to come soon since Clint Ogbenna, the founder of Corteiz, took to Instagram on December 12 to reveal the shoe.

If this release goes the same way as Nike and Corteiz’s first sneaker release (a collaborative Air Max 90, that came in a trio of colorways), this will be the last of the two brands' Air Huarache releases.

Also, as with the first two Corteiz x Nike Air Huarache releases, this one comes with a matching apparel capsule: Clint was pictured wearing the same reflective tracksuit from previous releases but decked out in all-black.

There'll likely be more to clothing than just the tracksuit to come. (Maybe some matching fuzzy clothing to go with the shoes?)

To be up-to-date with when the hairy Nike sneaker and its clothing collection are arriving, keep a close eye on Corteiz and its founder Clint's social media platforms.

The brand, a leading voice from the new generation of streetwear labels, tends to announce the release of new products or pop-ups, often without warning, exclusively via social media.

And good luck! Corteiz drops famously sell out fast, plus, sometimes, the brand leads you on a wild goose chase to secure anything.
