Nike's Cortez sneaker is back like it never left, and it's even fancier now, too.

Nike has launched a new premium leather version of the classic running shoe, crafted with, well, high-quality leather uppers.

What's more, Nike's Cortez sneaker has some variety to its luxe leather, combining polished patent moments and smooth matte leather on the upper.

The icing on the cake? Nike's Cortez gets bathed in the classic Triple Black colorway, resulting in a serious stealth wealth vibe.

The Nike Cortez sneaker is a pop culture icon worn by famous faces like Whitney Houston and has starred in award-winning films like Forrest Gump (the famous colorway finally restocked this year!).

Though a retro classic, the Nike Cortez hasn't always been in the spotlight. It wasn't until around 2022 that the sneaker began to make a real comeback into the shoe game.

It's gotten some pretty sublime collaborations recently with Nike's top-dog partners like sacai and Union. CLOT also got its hands on the timeless Nikes, making them into impressively versatile martial arts shoes.

2024 only saw the Nike Cortez's return get wilder with silky girlcore spins and football-ified remakes. There were also those freaky 3D "goo" pairs from the "Sea Glass" pack.

As we speak, Nike's latest premium leather Cortez sneakers are available on the brand's website. Nike may be tardy to the quiet luxury party with its newest drop, but hey, better late than never.
