As brands continue to debut their celebratory Chinese New Year collections, Nike has already begun to release its commemorative goods. Here, we get a look at the selection of sneakers and apparel Nike and Jordan Brand have designed for the Chinese New Year festivities, which marks the Year of the Rat on the Chinese Zodiac calendar.

The patterns featured throughout Nike's Year of the Rat collection incorporate designs from the previous four Year of the Rat cycles. These designs make use of a pattern similar to Yuxian paper-cutting, a traditional activity of turning brightly-colored rice paper into images of animals, flowers, landscapes, and folkloric figures.

Footwear standouts include a vivid colorway of the Air Max 1, a white Air Force 1 with an embossed pattern on the upper, an Air Max 720 featuring a pattern just above the Air unit, a Chinese coin-inspired iteration of the Air Jordan 13, and two colorways of the Kyrie 6. Women's Year of the Rat sneakers range from the Air Max 90 and Air Max 270 React to the Air Force 1 Shadow and Joyride Run 2. Additionally, the Air Force 1, Air Jordan 13, and Kyrie 6 are offered in family sizing.

Complementing Nike's Year of the Rat footwear is a range of apparel consisting of T-shirts, hoodies, jackets, and more. You can find select sneakers and apparel available now, with the remainder of the collection releasing throughout January.
