Double Tap to Zoom

Almost five months since Nipsey Hussle's death, the rapper's family, friends, and fans are still mourning his loss. Today would have been his 34th birthday, and while his family declined invitations for a public commemoration, instead choosing to celebrate his birthday in private, fans have taken to social media to show their love.

"The Marathon Continues" was the title of the late rapper and entrepreneur's clothing line and mixtape, and also became the tagline for his social activism work. Now it's seeing a revival once again, with fans using the hashtag #TheMarathonContinues to express what Nipsey's legacy means to them and how he will be remembered.

Many fans are echoing the sentiment that his impact will be felt beyond his music, with one writing "Thank you for everything you did to better this world," while another says "You served your purpose and you left your mark."
