Not In London was back and better this year, celebrating that messy, beautiful, ever-evolving blend of culture, fashion, music, and art that makes London, well…London. From February 21 to 24 we took over the city proving once again that London is more than just a big capital city. And what better way to experience it all than by driving through the streets in a fleet of always open MINI Cooper Convertibles, hopping from one British hotspot to another? Buckle up, this is Bri’ish-ness in motion.

MINI served as the official mode of transport for our Not In London activation, and honestly, could there be a better fit? Whether it’s driving through Soho or cruising past Buckingham Palace, MINI has always been a part of the UK’s cultural tapestry. For this year’s Not In London, it rolled out an exclusive fleet of the brand new MINI Cooper Convertibles featuring a scratching function, intelligent personal assistant features and an always open timer, set to ferry talent and VIPs between the different Not In events.

Hmm, three words to describe London? Diverse, buzzing, inspiring!

Sam Kader @samsamkader

The schedule was packed to say the least with the main hub at BFC 180 Strand, where guests could hop into their always open MINI Cooper Convertible and get going thanks to our legendary cabbies who led the way!  The Barbican hosted a Brutalist High Tea—because what’s more British than a teaparty? Not to mention, Selfridges was the go-to spot for getting access to our exclusive Not In London merch. Along the way, our guests shared their favorite London memories, spilled the beans on London’s hidden gems, told us how they take their tea, and disclosed their cheekiest go-to British phrases.

The multiculturalism, the diversity is everything. It makes London what it is.

Each MINI Cooper Convertible was packed with British essentials to make sure the journey felt just as glamorous as the destination. We’re talking After Eights for that extra touch of class, a Not In London travel guide to keep you in the loop, and a selfie light so you could capture all the London magic in a perfect setting. And to keep you feeling fresh and fabulous, there was Charlotte Tilbury setting spray to lock in your look and Jo Malone perfume to make sure you didn’t just get from A to B, but arrived looking and feeling glamorous.

My go-to British food is either fish and chips or bangers and mash.

With the chapter closed on another Not In London experience, we give credit where credit is due to MINI for helping us navigate the never-sleeping streets of London in the always-open MINI Cooper Convertible. Discover more about MINI here.
