As the official timekeeper of the Paris 2024 Olympics, OMEGA has dropped a grail-worthy watch that feels right at home at this year's games. The OMEGA BG 859 Bronze Gold Edition dawns all three of the most coveted materials at the Olympics across its case.

Inspired by the Olympic medals, the watch is made from 50% copper, and 37.5% gold allowing the watch to clock in at 9 gold karats. Additionally, the watch comes in a 925 silver dial with a Clous de Paris pattern in the center and a comfy brown calf leather strap (though I would prefer black).

Aside from being a nice nod to the precious Olympic metals, the watch case also includes a timely Paris 2024 embossed case back and OMEGA's beloved Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8926 movement.

The design of the watch is very vintage-coded, pulling from OMEGA's catalog dating back to the 1930s. It's a modern watch that will scratch the itch of those of you currently obsessed with vintage watches.

I am sure, (if it is not out already) we are going to get one to two sports watches from OMEGA before the Olympic closing ceremony. But seeing OMEGA opt for a dress watch before the start of the games does warm my heart.

Dress watches — "formal" watches with minimal complications often with leather straps — have taken a backseat to the current explosion in the popularity of sports watches.

The Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition is the type of watch you slip on after you've climbed down from the podium and are at the after-party basking in your win.

If you're looking to add this watch to your Olympic celebration during the Summer Games, or simply want to add the watch to your collection, the BG 859 Bronze Gold Edition is currently available at OMEGA for $12,000.
