No one does "quiet cool" quite like Our Legacy. Even LVMH, who has a minority stake in the label, can't deny its admirably easy charm. It's an effortlessness that's felt not just through the label's in-line offerings, but even its red-hot collaborations with names like Stüssy and Satisfy.

And so the stylish legacy continues with the Our Legacy Fall/Winter 2025.

Our Legacy recently debuted its FW25 "Aula" collection during Milan Fashion Week, which explores how style changes based on certain environments. For instance, off-duty days may bring out the more casual side of a person, while work sometimes calls for more formal attire like suits and crisp button-up shirts. And sometimes, that could be a whole new you.

In exploring this theme of transformation and adaptation, Our Legacy styled each model in two different looks, making them "unrecognizable," as the brand put it. The clothing itself plays on the concept of duality, with sportswear boasting surprisingly sophisticated materials and suiting stripped of their conventional fabrications.

The biggest point of inspiration for Our Legacy FW25? Tobacco shops. The richly-designed spaces once known for its top-quality cigars are now where Our Legacy co-founder Jockum Hallin goes when he needs to pick up his packages. Intrigued, we caught up with Hallin to talk about tobacco shops and the transition between everyday and formal.

You mentioned that the collection is inspired by tobacco shops. Can you tell us more about that?

The colorways are really inspired by a tobacco shop, but it's also a lot of inspiration drawn from the dual personalities, maybe physically from what a tobacco shop used to be and what it is today. Like in Sweden, a tobacco shop these days is somewhere you go to pick up your parcel. You buy something online, you go there, and you pick it up. It's transformed from this kind of warm place with a lot of browns, reds, yellows, and these rustic colors, to now something strictly transactional.

We also took inspiration from undercover agents and maybe a little bit like Cold War days, in terms of type of garments, colorways, and things.

But we were really inspired by how a person can transcend from being something super casual or being themselves in one setting and then really being unrecognizable in a professional setting.

Is that how you view the person that wears Our Legacy, someone whose style has a bit of a range?

100%. I think a person can tap into us for that whole wide spectrum. And for this collection, outerwear and suiting is really, really important and essential, just like the more casual pieces like jersey, knitwear, or more comfy, cozy stuff.

It's over or around 350 pieces or something like that in this collection. So it's a broad range for everyone, kind of. Is this one of the larger collections you guys have done?

Our Legacy is growing, and the output becomes a little bit bigger each season. We always try to tamper it and keep it tight, but it's also expanding.

Do you have a personal favorite piece from the collection, or one that might've taken the most effort?

Like I said, outwear is probably the strongest part. It really stands out, outerwear and suiting.

We try to develop around language, and find new shapes that are not maybe so conventional within the suiting world, whether it's a super cropped kind of garage jacket with a zip, but made in a beautiful suiting fabric that really can be used both as a way of dressing up, but also kind of uniform.

Can you tell me more about the accessories and shoes?

There's the Legacy Camion Boot, one of our icons, in a grayish, charcoal-looking leather, very much in the color world of this collection. We're also premiering a new hybrid hiking boot with a beautiful toe shape. It blends function, the performance of a hiking boot, and dressed-up at the same time.

If you gave this collection a soundtrack or a song, what type of song comes to mind for you?

Within Our Legacy, music is such an important part. In every fashion brand, it should be, but for us, we couldn't live without it. And we have so many different ways where music inspire us, to even working with musicians.

So it could be anything from a post-punk kind of movement to something that is analog-sounding, but progressive, modern, digital music.
