What We’re Saying: Overkill has announced its latest sneaker collaboration, further cementing itself as one of the best adidas collaborators of all time. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of adidas Equipment, Overkill and adidas have teamed up on the CSG 91.

The sneaker is an all-new silhouette made up of three iconic adidas Equipment models. The C in the name stands for “Cushion”, the S for “Support” and the G for “Guidance,” while the 91 is a nod to Equipment’s founding year. The shoe’s forefoot and toe box were taken from the Guidance 91; the middle part of the shoe was taken from the 91 Support; the midsole was adopted from the Cushion.

The project’s color scheme is also a nod to the original Equipment range, which came in red, blue, and green. Overkill took those three colors and turned them into pastel versions, giving the CSG 91 a more time-appropriate colorway.

Overkill celebrates the opening of its brand-new store location in Cologne with an in-store release of its adidas CSG 91 on October 16. The Berlin release (as well as the online drop) will follow on October 23. Both in-store drops are first come, first served.
