PACIFISM

Although the first day of summer may only be thirteen days away, PACIFISM is already headed back to school with the launch of its new two-part collection for SS22, titled "ALMA MATER."

You can never be mad at clothing that promotes a peaceful way of living –especially when it looks this good. For those unacquainted with PACIFISM (the brand, not the French phrase), the brand was conceived in the mind of London-born Saudi designer Talal Hizami.

A brand still in its youth, PACIFISM came to life in 2019 with the FW19 “Starry Eyed” collection. This debut collection was a taste of what was to come, highlighting a designer committed to pushing boundaries while building a visceral world rich in cultural heritage and references.

Since then, Talal has put his best foot forward to ensure the brand's progression, continuing to excel even during the peak of the pandemic, delivering the FW20 "Higher Power" collection during a time of complete uncertainty to great success.

Since the last delivery, PACIFISM has been reliving its schooling years. Having attended both English and American schools, Talal has had a varied experience – experiences that he's pulled from to build the world of "ALMA MATER."

Conceptualized as two drops depicting the two school seasons, "ALMA MATER" pulls inspiration from school uniforms, sports teams, teenage emotions, school rules, and more.

Standout pieces that build on the PACIFSM DNA include Japanese nylon hooded bombers reminiscent of past season sukajan sets, school lab coats with periodic table prints, rugby collared shirts, slacks, and school team mascot prints.

Get ready, PACIFISM heads back to school with the SS22 "ALMA MATER" collection, which launches online June 17.
