The Highsnobiety x Paddle8 Contemporary Legends Auction Closes for Bids Tomorrow
The Highsnobiety x Paddle8 Contemporary Legends auction brings you artworks and collectibles from some of the 21st century's most popular and well-respected artists. Open until tomorrow, Wednesday, November 20 at 13:00 p.m., our second collab auction of 2019 has gathered 96 stunning pieces from across the globe, including works by Daniel Arsham, Damien Hirst, KAWS, and Takashi Murakami. Visit the virtual auction here.
Original prints up for grabs in the Contemporary Legends auction include a piece from Damien Hirst's "I Love You" series, Takashi Murakami's "Tan Tan Bo" — one of a limited 300, and "KAWSBOB" by KAWS, a highly sought-after edition that was sold exclusively through the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth in 2011.
Submissions received also included a range of skate decks and editioned sculptures — the white house-defying Ai Wei Wei piece being one of them — a rare edition of 66 signed decks. KAWS' "Wood Hand" sculpture was also received, the invitation for his exhibition at More Gallery in Switzerland during Art Basel 2016.
The last auction saw bidders from 17 countries participate, with highlight sales including Daniel Arsham’s “Future Relic Complete Excavation Set (nine works)," which sold for $22,000 (setting the world auction record for the set) and KAWS “BFF Dior Plush Doll (Black)," which received a winning bid of $14,000.
